About 'dates help weight loss'|How Hypnosis Can Be Used To Help With Your Weight Loss Program








When               I               first               started               on               my               weight               loss               program,               my               doctor               gave               me               some               very               good               advice.

He               said               "start               shopping               from               the               bulk               foods               section.

Get               your               snacks               out               of               this               section               and               I               guarantee               you               will               lose               10               pounds."               This               advice               turned               out               to               be               true.

I               lost               50               pounds,               over               the               course               of               one               year.

Shopping               from               the               bulk               foods               section               was               a               lifestyle               change               that               introduced               me               to               new               types               of               foods               and               cooking               techniques.

Some               of               my               favorites:               Granola.

Granola               is               a               great               healthy               snack.

When               looking               at               the               nutrition               label,               you               may               not               think               so.

It               can               pack               a               lot               of               calories               and               fat               in               a               small               serving.

The               difference               between               this               and               other               processed               foods               selections               is               that               the               calories               are               also               full               of               nutrients.

Granola               can               increase               energy               and               help               keep               hunger               away.

I               replaced               cold               cereal               in               the               morning               with               granola               and               low               fat               yogurt.

I               have               a               serving               of               yogurt               and               about               ¼               cup               of               granola.

This               doesn't               seem               like               a               lot               of               food               but               it               really               keeps               me               filled               up.

I               stay               full               and               have               energy               much               longer               than               I               did               eating               cold               cereal               with               milk.
               Orzo               Pasta.

A               great               find.

I               love               orzo               pasta.

This               is               not               exactly               a               diet               food               but               it               is               pasta               that               can               be               used               with               salads               and               other               side               dishes               and               it               fills               you               up.

It               is               shaped               like               a               grain               of               rice.

It               absorbs               flavors               of               the               foods               with               it               which               makes               it               easy               to               use.

It               can               be               filling               so               you               need               to               measure               the               amount               so               you               don't               sabotage               your               calorie               count,               but               using               it               in               moderation               in               your               salads               gives               you               the               motivation               to               make               more               salads.

It               is               great               with               spinach,               chicken,               and               lemon               vinaigrette               dressing.
               Dehydrated               Fruits.

There               are               so               many               new               options               in               dehydrated               fruits.

There               are               so               many               new               forms               of               raisin               type               fruits               such               as               cranberries,               blueberries,               cherries,               and               strawberries               that               come               in               raisin               like               form               and               can               be               tossed               in               salads,               in               baked               goods,               and               just               eaten               as               a               snack.

They               are               full               of               nutrients               and               fiber               and               a               great               choice               instead               of               candy               or               processed               foods.

Dates               are               another               dehydrated               food               that               can               be               used               in               baking               to               add               flavor               and               moisture.
               Whole               grains.

If               you               have               always               wanted               to               try               using               whole               wheat               and               other               grains               but               don't               want               to               invest               in               large               amounts               of               food               storage,               this               is               a               great               option               to               try.

Buy               the               grains               in               the               bulk               foods               section               and               try               them               at               home.

You               can               usually               find               an               offering               of               whole               wheat,               mixed               grains,               oatmeal,               and               other               grains.

You               can               also               buy               whole               grain               cereal               in               the               bulk               section               and               throw               it               in               your               bread               recipes               to               add               some               whole               grain.

I               discovered               hard               white               wheat               in               the               bulk               foods               section               and               it               is               now               a               staple               in               my               house.

I               have               gone               on               to               buy               long               term               storage               of               hard               white               wheat.
               Trail               mix.

There               are               so               many               varieties               of               trail               mix               being               offered.

We               have               tested               and               tried               at               least               10               different               mixes               and               love               them               all.

They               are               a               great               alternative               to               chips               and               crackers.

Again,               they               can               pack               a               lot               of               calories               but               if               you               learn               to               eat               them               correctly,               measuring               out               portions,               you               can               really               lose               weight               eating               them.
               Eating               these               types               of               food               is               a               long               term               solution               to               weight               loss.

It               will               not               happen               quickly.

It               has               taken               me               a               year               of               changing               my               eating               habits               to               lose               50               pounds.

You               must               measure               everything               and               count               your               calories,               but               over               time,               this               type               of               eating               will               help               motivate               you               to               eat               healthy               and               avoid               the               empty               calories.

It               is               also               a               great               money               saver.
